IF MARRIED Marriage certificate The marriage certificate for a married main applicant. IF SINGLE Certificate of single status An official document confirming single status, issued within the last six months. IF WIDOWED Proof of widowhood An official document confirming widowhood, where applicable. MAIN APPLICANT, SPOUSE & CHILDREN Passport copies Passport copies for the main applicant, spouse and children included in the application. MAIN APPLICANT & SPOUSE Power of attorney A power of attorney from the main applicant and spouse. The firm’s checklist does not request a power of attorney from the children. AS APPLICABLE Document authentication Arrange apostille or double legalisation for documents requiring authentication. Confirm the appropriate formalities for each document with the legal team before proceeding. MAIN APPLICANT & SPOUSE Application photographs Six colour photographs, 4 × 6 cm, for each of the main applicant and spouse, as specified in the firm’s application-file checklist. Confirm the photograph specifications for each application stage with the team. IF DIVORCED & APPLYING WITH CHILDREN Consent and custody documents Where applicable, provide the former spouse’s consent to the children acquiring Turkish citizenship and evidence of the main applicant’s sole or joint custody.
